Lightroom 4 Publish Service not updating deleted keyword

I am using the Lightroom 4 Publish Service to manage my SM galleries. I recently deleted a keyword, but the pictures that were tagged with that keyword are not flagged for republishing as expected. The 'Keywords' box is checked under Settings>Republishing. How can I fix this?

What version of the SmugMug plugin do you use? Can you make sure you're using the latest version? You can check for updates via the Lightroom plugin manager.

I just tried it on my Lightroom4 and removing or deleting a keyword from a photo triggered the photo to be marked for republishing.

Maybe you didn't have the appropriate "republishing" setting enabled at the time you removed the keyword?

G'day afgoody,

I'm assuming from your description that you deleted the keyword from the Keyword List panel ?

If so, this is actually a LR bug (i've submitted a bug about it). Until it's resolved by Adobe, I can only offer a workaround.

Prior to deleting the keyword
- click the little arrow -> next to the keyword which will bring up all the photos/videos with that keyword.
- Select them all
- Right-click on the keyword and choose 'Remove This Keyword from Selected Photos'. All published photos will be marked to be republished
- Delete the keyword

This appears to be fixed in the alpha version of LR 4.2 that I just tried, so hopefully the 4.2 release won't be too far away.

I have LR 4.2 now. I still had to go in an mark each photo to republish. Hopefully the bug is fixed if I need to do this again.
