Ridin' the Rusty Rails on Old Number 70 from the Boston Locomotive Works

Our family rode an Old Steam Engine train yesterday from Elbe, Washington to Mineral Lake, Washington. Only a short 1 hour ride where, at the midpoint of the ride there's a Civil War re-enactment, then the train reverses itself and back home she goes. Loads of fun, lots of steel and gobs and gobs of rust. This wasn't as rusty as it was cool looking but I thought I would put it out there anyway.

Thanks for looking.

Good one, Tom. I've ridden a couple of these old steam engine trains up in the Appalachians. They are a lot of fun.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Definitely cool! Love the processing. My wife and I have talked about taking the train trip from Chicago out to Glacier Park sometime in the future. Neither of us have had the pleasure to ride any type of train, but it sounds like fun.

If at all possible and you manage to put a rail trip to Montana together, the Glacier Park Lodge is a truly amazing place to stay. You'll have to book quite a ways in advance. http://www.glacierparkinc.com/glacier_park_lodge.php
