Actually, that lighthouse is along Hwy 1 and is the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse. If you are heading South, Point Arena light would be next. Nothing North (which is the direction I think you were heading based on the previous lighthouse post) until you hit Battery Point.

It's on a beautiful stretch of highway that leads you past several unique lighthouses. I've never been to Pt. Cabrillo when the sun has been out. Only ever in the fog. Nice picture.

Man, I've got to get a gps for my camera!

After 26 states and 2 Canadian provinces in 10 months, I'm lucky that I got the state right rolleyes1.gif

Laughing.gif. At least you made it down (or up) the California Coast. I think SF North is nice. Particularly the Sonoma Coast. As you go farther, it gets a little "tame" and then back to the rugged part. And excepting the slow moving vehicles, it's a great drive.

Don't worry too much about being confused as to where you were, Randy. That happens a lot to Texans when they leave Texas.headscratch.gif

BTW, I like the shot. Good composition.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Your probably right Tom.

To get out of Texas, for most, your a LONG way from home :D

When I drove from Pensacola to Jacksonville, well that's just like a normal drive to the grocery store here rolleyes1.gif

My first trip to DFW was an eye opener. Arrival was late in the evening. I asked the rental agent how I got to the highway. She said "just head out to the gate and make a right about 2 miles after leaving the airport.". She left me with the crappy rental car map (which is how I decided to always get a map of the city before leaving). Little did I know that the gate was 9 miles from the rental car place lol3.gif

Nice image......my only nit is I thinks it's a stronger image with about 20% of the foreground cropped off.

With some of the foreground gone I feel like I am looking and walking into a scene rather than looking up at the scene.

I see your point Sam, and I would like that crop if only it didn't then divide the scene in half with the flat horizon ne_nau.gif

As always, thanks for looking, and more importantly, your input thumb.gif
