I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

You and me both, John. That place fascinates the hell out of me.
Thanks for the visit.

Hi Joel,
Aside from other geological characteristics, it's the colors of this place that really blow me away. Interestingly, I had a lot more success in recording these colors when shooting under a strong mid-day sun....as opposed to early morning or late afternoon soft light. That wasn't the case in all instances throughout the park, but it sure was when it came to shooting the hydro-thermal features. The real strong light let them just " pop ".

Hey Gary,
Yellowstone had been on my bucket list for quite some time. I'm sorry it took me so long to get there but, I assure you, it won't take me very long to go back. It's an amazing place.
Thanks for the visit,
Tom

Thanks for the comments, Michael. When you find natural colors as dramatic as these, there's little reason to monkey around with them....something I'm loath to do anyway. Now when it comes to rust....stand back; in that case I know no boundaries.
Take care, buddy,
Tom
