    and we watched as the past flew by for the last time!! There were lots of folks that spent hrs waiting to see this for the last time if you look close the observatory is packed .There were 2 helicopters and many standing above the Hollywood sign [you are not suppose to be there] Most told story's of dad ,a friend etc that worked on some part of the endeavour .I only worked on B52s

    Thank you yep just below Hollywood [south] the only time it was out of sight for us was coming in from the south and the trip to Pasadena. We saw it from 11:52 to 12:12 I have lived in L. A. for my entire life and with the flight path I was sure they would take it was a great spot .Just wish the haze was not sooooo bad . I was there with one person then he was on the phone and more and more :D I was with a butterlfy and some wasps for over an hr waiting it was 3 helicopters that told us when it was coming in and from where

    Great shots, Jeff! Did you manipulate the Hollywood sign picture are all? Or was that just the natural air motion?

    That location you shot from looks great, I was at the observatory and it was almost too close!

    I was going to come up there but left for Hollywood your shots are cleaner being closer but I had a lot of shots .Yep I messed with that one sold the shot so did not want it copied
