Looks like an excellent capture to me skippy thumb.gif

Light is very nice- agree with the others , think I'd remove the bloom top right.
We have had our first frosts here over the last couple of days but then bright sunshine in the cold- still managed to find a few bugs around even though the air temp was only 4'C.

I was fully expecting the picture not to turn out because of the breeze, so I was happy to see that I even got it in focus mwink.gif
Thank you for your comment.....the distraction hopefully will turn into another open flower and start attracting butterflies this coming year.

Yeah call me a glutton for punishment, I really don't like cropping, I'd say 99% of my macro are full frames ......rarely do I ever crop them, kinda makes it harder to capture them in the first place, but goodness knows I try rolleyes1.gif

    Don't blame me !!!!!
As an aside are you sure you need the length/weight. Must admit I have not tried a 180 macro lens, but when I've tried using my 70-300APO in macro mode I had trouble finding the bugs, with lens shake and even more trouble with the flash lighting- ie the greater focus distance causes me problems. You might be better off with the 100mm lens plus it also makes a great length for impromptu portraits. If you can I'd try them first.

Yep you are right......... I should go to a store that has one or a lens of similar size and weight and see what it's like.
I am in no position to buy such a lens anyways rolleyes1.gif I gotta come up with me airfare to USA soon so that's where my pennies will be going :D
Thanks for the info Brian ............. Skippy (Australia)
