Shuksan sunrise

went up to the Mt Baker area to shoot the sunrise this morning. at 6 AM the fog was so thick you could cut it with a knife, but by 7:00, it had mostly cleared away, and by the time the sun rose above the mountains at 7:50, all that was left was the haze in the air from the wildfires on the other side of the Cascades. i wanted to get some dawn alpenglow on Mt Baker, but the sky wouldn't cooperate, so i settled for this shot of the sun peeking over the shoulder of Mt Shuksan...
