okay, I do like them more as the subject is isolated from the background..but guess what? the bokeh is now bit distracting! haha..the bokeh is very "busy" (party due to highlights, partly due to the nature of the background, and maybe the aperture blades on your lens?) I am digging 3 out of these

Don't listen to Daniel John. He's never happy with photos posted unless it's of me and I'm not wearing a shirt.

These are great and I'm with Chuck-D in that 1-4-6 are the best. I do see what Daniel says about the bokeh, it's more like chunky peanut butter rather than creamy but that has everything to do with your lens and nothing to do with the way you shot it. If you do decide to start incorporating more bokeh into your shots, you may want to use a lens with the creamy-dreamy stuff.

Thanks Mark. I understand the idea of Av blades and all that but new, expensive glass isn't in the cards for a while. In any event, as I said, this bokeh with Cindy in it is as good as I'm gonna capture, maybe for now, maybe forever. i'm actually OK With that.

Mark as in "Mark Cuban" maybe? headscratch.gif

The bokeh is not horrible. Just not the creamy stuff. I've seen a helluva lot worse. Like I said, really like these shots John.

6 ftw - that's another stunner! Sooooo much better when you don't bisect your subjects with the horizon thumb.gif

Not so crazy about #1 - agree with da boyz that the bokeh is a little funky in that one, but mostly I just don't like her hair in it; greatly prefer where it's obviously wet than where it's been slicked down, eg 4, which is another great hammock shot.

You sure had fun out in the bahamas, didn't you?! lol3.gif

I love them all! Cindy is my favorite of the models that you shoot. My only nit is the skin tones in the armpit of #6. Makes it look a bit...well...unshaven.

Diva, we had a blast. Why not come along next May??

Dread, you're her number 3 fan. I'm #s 1 AND 2. Laughing.gif. The armpit is shadow but you're right. I'll go back and get that tomorrow.

In high school, I went out on a date with a girl that had hairy armpits. She was really pretty and thought I could "overlook" it. I was wrong. I couldn't get the thought out of my mind that it looked like she had Buck Wheat in a headlock.

I'd agree, but imo it's mainly to do with the background and how the light's falling on it.

Patches of light / dark transitions - especially if combined with high frequency patches of similar (eg bright leaves in shadow areas) are things I try to avoid if possible ... albeit with ducks :)

    1'd get my vote, btw

Four and six do it for me. I have a couple of issues, (VERY small ones) but I just can't bring myself to critique Cindy.

Some small details, not worth to mention unless I might be able to do better.
    1 and 4 are my preferred, I can't open # 6.
