Hey all

My web page is http://photito.smugmug.com/home and i understand that i do like my images quite dark. having said this the site looks very good when viewed on a PC. The problem is that when viewed on a Mac the images seem to be to dark, loosing detail in the shadows. I have tried with several high end mac monitors and even i pads and they are all the same. Any ideas?

Monitors need to be calibrated. it shouldn't matter if it's a Mac or PC if it is set up right.
I looked with a Mac Pro and a calibrated LaCie monitor and the images look fine. A bit dark, as you want them, but not excessively dark.

So I can't be sure this post is still relevant - it's pretty old - but might be worth checking.

Default color settings, browser ability to recognize color space, default or set monitor brightness will all play a role in how your images display on your monitor.
