Mounting flash to tripod?

What type of mount would I need to attach my sb900 stobe to my tripod? ........And where could I get it from?
D300s D90
Nikon 18-105mm,Nikon 18-200mm,Sigma 24-70mm f2.8, Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8

    It all depends on your tripod situation. You can buy a spare QR plate. I use an Arca swiss QR mount and screw it to the little plastic base my flash came with. Ball heads are cool for positioning your flash!

    Haha, what a dumb ass, I just noticed that the plastic stand is able to screw right to the tripod screw, lol.

    Laughing.gif I was going to say that the factory plastic foot has threads for the tripod plate.

    it does but it does not give you any tilt adjustment nor any way to add an umbrella or softbox ... ...I use mine simply as the actual flash mount, but still have the tilt-able umbrella holder under it....

    Now.. I was able to tilt/turn using the ballhead on my tripod :D:D:D

    The right tools for the job would be a light stand, umbrella adapter and cold shoe (like the Frio linked above, which is very secure, but some umbrella adapters come with one).

    If this is for shooting quad racing in the woods, a little stand like this is usually tall enough and easy to carry. The whole set up is inexpensive too.
