Monopod Suggestions

what are you suggestions on a Monopod for a Canon 10D with the grip?

Bogen/Manfrotto have got the venerable 679B or the 676B. Both are between $50-$80.

I use Manfrotto
679B and a 3229 Head is what I have and is plenty strong.

To be exact.....the same setup from B&H at link below.($70 Complete)

While the head's a nice idea, you don't really need it. And if you're shooting
actions sports, it will just make life more difficult.

The 3229 has a quick release head so it's no problem at all.

I now use GIOTTOS
I use to use Bogen/Manfrotto...but I switched to Giottos for both t-pod and m-pod.....for mono pod I have the Giottos P-POD it has 3 support legs attachable at bottom or you can attach them near top to use in an almost prone position for flowers and close up...italso has a 2 way tilt head...the only draw back is twist locks on legs but I got caught on the bogen clamps more than once and always on cold days...OUCH! I bought from PhillyPhotoSupply on ebay:
