Hello,

These are three from the lighting of the Split Rock Lighthouse (Minnesota) on November 10th.

Last one is about a 5 minute exposure as you can see from the star trails. Technique is to cover the lens each time the light comes around so it doesn't completely burn out the picture.

c/c welcomed.

1. Just after sunset

2. About 20 minutes later

    Steve,

That last shot is excellent. All are good but the way you captured the lighthouse at night is great. Blow this one up and hang it up on the wall. Good job! clap.gifclap.gif

    Nice shots.
I've lived in Minnesota all my life, but I haven't been to Split Rock yet.
    I need to get there.

That last pic is great. Thanks for sharing how it was done.

Great shots! Hey did you use digital for that 5min exposure? If so, how did you manage to get it noisefree?!

Great shots! the last one is by far my favorite. And to Maverick, I shoot digital and have done long exposures and haven't noticed that much noise in the shots.

    Good job...
