Hi,
I haven't posted in forever, just lurking around. But, I got a D4 this summer and have been trying it out at the local high school football field and volleyball gym. It's pretty awesome at the High ISOs.
ISO 10000, not too bad: D4 with 300mm f2.8

ISO 6400 for volleyball is decent too (D4 with 85mm f1.8, but at some other aperture)

so way better than my D700.
I was kind of worried that the extra waiting and expense wouldn't be worth it, but I think it's tons better. Yay sports.

Nice. Anna, is the first one just the stadium lights, or did you pop some fill flash in there? You got a lot of light in under the helmet.

    Hi.
Just stadium lights. I don't use flash in sports. I do sometimes use the Shadows/Highlights feature of Photoshop to draw faces out of helmets. Don't really remember if I did that on this picture (which has pretty weird color now that I look at it).
    thanks
