The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brook Atkinson- 1951
My first thought on seeing this was, okay, two surfers - so what. But the longer I looked, the more I came to see it as a wonderful, image. You nailed the composition, and even more difficult, really got the shutter speed, giving us just enough movement blur to convey, well, movement, at the same time you froze one of the surfers. And so we get a sense of the fluidity of the water, and the two live men walking and talking. Nicely done.
