I was literally walking out my front door early today with the new Nikon in hand fiddling with the settings (in anticipation of some pretty bad light conditions) when something caught my eye to my left. Once my feet landed I managed only one good clear shot of him. It's a bit oversaturated to help him stand out. My settings were way off for this shadowy shot and he refused to stop and pose for me. That snake was FAST! LOL! For those curious it's what were refer too in North Florida as a black racer and is not a snake you want to kill. They're non venomous and live off reptiles and small vermin like mice and small rats. He was no doubt keeping my lizard population in check.

Nice capture of a black racer. I have one that pays a visit to my pool enclosure on a regular basis. He's low maintenance until he decides to take a swim. They are a real pain to net and get out f a pool (they keep hopping back into the water).

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
