I was waiting for sunset at Lundy Lake last Saturday and took this right after the sun went behind the mountain. I was "shooting" some deer and forgot to reset my ISO on the first one. :huh

Nice shots. I much prefer the first as its easier to look at, meaning; the first shot has the light on the mountains and this is initially where your eye goes. The second image, the bright water is where your eye goes, then to the next bright sky, and lastly, due to the mountains being very low contrast and way behind in brightness, I have to force my eye to them.
I hope that wasn't more input than what you were after, if any input at all.
