1st two are to distant to be evocative!

#3 is much better but to tight.

Really like the first and third - wish the second was a vertical, as it's an odd crop/composition as is. All three do capture your theme quite well, certainly the joy in the first, the connection in the second, and the third? Well the third is just plain gorgeous, with that ruddy cheek, the blue eye, the curve of fur, and then the blue of the hat and read of the coat. Nicely seen.
