Went down to Green Cay refuge (Boynton Beach, FL) late this afternoon. Unfortunately, the sun didn't cooperate, but I got these shots anyway. Which one should I submit?

yup the 3rd is probably the best - great timing.
However the kingfisher(?) has more character.

tough call... #3 seems like such no-brainer, and yet #4 is so funky I think I'd vote for it (then again, that's me and I'm guessing not the majority of voters)

All of the shots are great! But #4 is my favorite. thumb.gif I like the composition and the fact that you have captured the whole bird. Good luck!

#4 has great color, and pose, plus you've got the whole bird in a well balanced composition. I'd say it takes my vote.

OH... plus you could have a lot of fun photo shopping things into that big green space later. :)

#4 for me, though I do like the action of #3. Four just amused me, because it was kind of the bird was waving hello to the camera.

    Green Heron Dance!
    Thanks everyone for your input!

I've decided to go with #4. Just too funky and colorful to pass up.

    3 and 4.

4 is kinda funny. Almost seems as if the bird is waving to you.
