This morning I hiked up Mt. Major by Lake Winnipesaukee in the dark in hopes of a decent sunrise. It was meh. Still processing, but even with my backpack weighing down the tripod, I think I had too much camera movement due to the high winds. Anyway, the trail down goes right by Minge Brook which, judging by the amount of debris all along its course, it must rage like mad in spring. Patiently I looked for a spot that wasn't too choked with sticks, logs, branches or leaves. Then I started cleaning it up (dead branches hanging from a tree right across the middle of the shot). Racing the sun, I set up on a big boulder and -
