Change custom domain name

I hat to post something so trivial but I cannot get my site to work.. I used to have the name allensfoto.com through godaddy. I lost this because they had an incorrect email for me and I didn't realize me name expired . So now it up for auction. I went and registered a different one last night but cannot get it to work . I contacted godaddy they said everything looked fine on there end but got a smugmug error when typing in the name. I too got that message. When I log into my account and went to reset the custom domain to the new one it said saving error. So now I'm lost and cannot access my photos.. I am getting back into photography as a business after taking a break this is why I didn't realize the name expired.. I kep t he name t he same just went with .net instead.. Please help I shot a wedding and need to get pix up for bride and family to see.. Thanks I hope I am clearer than mud..

Hey I got it figured out. I didn't save when I put the new a host IP address so it was going back to godaddy. It all seems to be working now. Thanks.
