Can't link out of Journal (Old)

Hi there,

I have spent all day going around in circles with this. I have used the Journal (Old) style to create a basic pricelist on my site at http://prices.owenmathias.com/ although build a wordpress site in order to contain more detail (mainly down to the flexibility of workpress vs smugmug).

Within the caption box in my Journal (old) gallery I have included the following html

"<a href: "http://www.owenmathiasphotography.com/?p=23" target="_blank"> click here </a>"

Even though it has recognised the link (changed the click here text to blue) it refuses to let you click on it.

I have tried everything that my tiny mind knows to be able to link out of this gallery caption box . . . . PLEASE HELP!!!

That isn't a proper HTML statement. In addition, if you placing html in a gallery description or a caption you must start it with <html> and end with </html> to tell smug to treat it as html rather than text.

Try

<html>
<a href="http://www.owenmathiasphotography.com/?p=23" target="_blank"> click here </a>
</html>

Yes, that works!

Thanks for your reply and spotting my now obvious mistake of putting : instead of =.

This has really driven my crazy today and I'm quite embarrassed about it.

You are my hero. I can go to bed now (it's 23:53 here) and sleep well.

No need to be embarrassed - I'm amazed at how easy it is to miss things like that. I think we've all done that!
