A shot from a thistle patch. Don't believe they qualify as "macro's"; but would appreciate comments, thoughts.

    The colors are beautiful and the background is nicely out of focus. It would be more compelling if the flower weren't right in the center. You could crop some off the right side but it would probably be better to reshoot it if you can. The bright spot just to the upper right of the flower draws my eye right towards it--if you could reshoot it and keep the background as green as you can it would make for a nicer shot. That's my 2 cents.

    Keep posting and showing your work. What part of VA are you in?
