What happened?

Over a year ago I struggled through the css maze, copying and pasting to get a decent looking site. Once it was working, I just left it alone. Now, suddenly, everything is a mess. Thumbnails overlap each other an the main image. Buttons are all over, random shapes. Clicking on an image does nothing. Slide show does nothing. Drop down text with no background so it's illegible. That's FF. I try IE, and images don't even appear (aha - there it is, below the thumbnails, off the screen. Nice).

I really can't invest days re-learning the painful modification process.

Did Smugmug make changes that were not backwards compatible? Between this, the year+ promise of "new design" and finally using up all my referral credits, this long time user is at the point of looking elsewhere.

Can I get back to what had been working for years?
