Expired Download Links

I just checked an expired gallery download link to make sure it was expired.

Instead of there being some sort of notification that the link was expired, it just took me to my homepage.

I am assuming this is normal behavior, and I imagine this seems quite confusing to customers.

I just added a note to my homepage about download links, but it sure would be nice if SM would have a notification.

This is normal behavior for an Expired zip link (they expire after 2 weeks). If you are concerned that your clients will be confused by this, you could consider adding a brief message to your Gallery Description that if the link should fail to download, to contact you directly.

My point is that the expired link does not even take the customer to the gallery. It takes them to the front page.
And as I stated in my OP, I already added a note at the top of my front page.
    Thanks for confirming this behavior.

That's working as intended as the download link is not intended to reveal the link to the gallery. It only provides a download for as long as the download is valid.
