Pulpit Rock Falls

This is a very small conservation area, but has an impressive gorge and when the water's high, the falls are pretty terrific. It's been one of my favorite spots for a long time now.

Thanks. The moss soaks up so much water that it stays bright green most of the time. I love it there even though the compositional choices are somewhat limited due to the rocks, the gorge and the trees. Has sort of a Middle Earth-y feel to me.

Thanks folks. I was really torn changing the B&W one because the moss and the leaves were wet and so intensely colored.

Thanks Lauren. It was kind of adventurous getting onto that huge boulder. It's one of my best photos of the year...at least I've got it marked that way at the moment.

For me, it's all #1. Beautiful contrast of greens and the trees make the picture.
