I have gone in and unchecked the watermark button but the images in this gallery are still watermarked...

Any ideas?

    Hello,

You can remove the watermark by going into the gallery and clicking on Tools -> Many Photos -> More -> Watermarking and then on the next screen, click on 'Remove', 'Select All' and then finally 'Watermark' and a dialogue box will come up saying that we are removing the watermarks from your photos. If you want to remove the watermark from one photo only, click on 'Remove' and then on the photo (it will be outlined in red) and then on 'Watermark'.

    With best regards,

The gallery settings allow you to set up a watermark for future uploads to the gallery. The watermarking tool in the Tools button > many photos > more section is the one you should use for existing photos in the gallery.

Can you decide to Watermark all your photos [which I understand affects only the display version and nothing that is obtained otherwise] now and not just all future? I have not set up a watermark but think maybe I should and if so, want it to apply across all galleries and all images, if in fact it only affects display. Thanks

You can apply a watermark to your existing photos, and you can set a watermark to be applied to newly uploaded photos. Watermarking is done on a gallery-by-gallery basis.

Thanks that is a help = I followed the tutorial and created the watermark and saved it to one of my unlisted galleries and I then did the application [as a test] to a small gallery = and nothing shows up!! I've emailed SmugMug so maybe it's just me.

Here's every public photo on your site.
Go to this page by adding /date
    http://gallery.journeyzing.com/date
select "all" generates this link with all your photos showing.
    http://gallery.journeyzing.com/date/2005-01-01/2012-12-03#!i=2249242840&k=qr3GCKX

Under the "tools" button "many photos > more > Watermarking
Insert watermark > click "select all" button
Click watermark button on right end
Wait probably a very long time for the WM to be applied to every photo.

Go to this page and see if the new WM shows there.
