Out of my comfort zone

Following in the footsteps of an uncle who was a celebrated artist in the community is a tough act to follow but one of the things he taught me is that an image does not necessarily have to be about pristine, sharp and brilliant colored subjects. Sometimes it can have movement implied or even be slightly grainy when it comes to creating movement and a particular feel or mood. One of the things I have most difficulty with truthfully but this past weekend with the help of some friends I stepped out of my comfort zone.

Blasted an AB 1600 at f/22 and set the camera to manual focus and threw a strip light at an angle behind the model and let her dance around while I fired off a few shots.
