Anyone have a good recommendation for a USB 3.0 CF card reader for a Retina Macbook Pro? Was looking at the lexar one but it has a lot of bad reviews saying it fails/doesn't work with macs. Just had to replace my laptop, comes in the day before a gig, and my old card reader was a PCI-e one, so won't work with these new laptops.

I've tried a ton of USB 3.0 readers, though not on Mac. My favorite is the Transcend and Kingston. However, they seem to come and go in production, so good luck with that! I also have a Pretec USB 3.0 reader that is tiny and great for portability, but it's not very deep-seated so I try not to use it unless I'm on the go...

I can recommend the Lexar UDMA CF+SD USB 3.0 cardreader, small, fast, not expensive.
