Have not seen this to much. They bluster and display and chase but they do not go after each other like this to often on the wintering grounds that I have observed.

Chris---One of the things I like most about nature forums is the captures of natural phenomena I have never seen before. This is one of them. I have spent many days photographing snow geese on their wintering grounds at the Salton Sea, and I have never seem them fight at all--not even a peck, much less a battle like the one you documented. Maybe the fight is a carry-over from the breeding grounds and is gone by the time they reach the more southern locations.
    Thanks for posting this series.

John I also found it unusual now Tundra Swans do that all the time. Specklebellies have gang fights most of it is displays and charges. Snow geese are pretty harmonious but these 2 were going at it. They broke twice and went back after each other. I have about 30 frames altogether of the action.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
