Hi, Found this shot from 2009 in my archives - thought it was worth an airing. The lane is the track from Crook (near Kendal in the English Lake District) to Cock Hagg - who knows how these places get their names ??

Thanks for looking in - C&C always appreciated.

Cheers, Richard.

Great scene, Richard, and great sky. I thought "UK" the minute I saw it. I give up, how were these places named?

Hi - well, if you can't have BLUE - then a few clouds do add some atmosphere. As for the place names - hagg = part of an area of woodland, especially on a sloping bank and the cock may be a male pheasant. So a small wood with pheasants.?? crook = as in sheperds crook - only a guess :D

    Cheers, Richard.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Hi Tom, thank you very much for your comments - much appreciated. Likewise, when I look at this shot I would like to be back there - the Lake District is perhaps my favourite place of all - especially when it is not raining!

    Cheers, Richard.
