Is anyone concerned with the pocket on back allowing someone to get to your camera in a crowded area (subway, etc)? This is the ONLY reason I am hesitant on this particular backpack. Otherwise it looks very nice.

Never been packed in like that with this backpack so not sure if you could feel someone in the pack.
But is't not easy to unzip any pockets on this pack...you kinda have to get used to how it unzips.
If you are really concerned about someone unzipping the pack when traveling - put a little 3 digit luggage lock on connecting both zippers. Cheap, and helps keep honest thieves out.
Now, if someone has a knife, then you need the steel mesh overbag.

They make some very nice backpacks so far they seem very rugged
