    First two are great but the last one I find a bit of the soft side in focus.

    Agree - first 2 shots are lovely. Assume it's an Empusa species ?

    It is commonly called the Wandering Violin Mantis or the Indian Rose Mantis the correct name is Gongylus Gongylodes from the Empusidae family from Sri Lanka, Thailand and India.

    Who knew a bug could have personality? She certainly looks the right diva. The pose in #1 is fab.

    I'm so sad I've lived 44 years and never have seen one of these gorgeous things. We have them in my neck of the woods, but I'm blind to them I guess. Or they run from me. : )

    No need for heat lamps a small watt heat mat does the trick.
