I have been thinking about getting into concert photography a lot more, and here are a few shots of a local band I took over the summer.

Looks like you need to enable embedding/sharing. If I open the images in a different browser window, it works fine.

Ok, I cleared cache in my browser on my MBA and I still can't see the images. But, the images come up successfully on my iPad. Odd. Not sure what might be happening.

Apologies that your post is polluted with technical issues.

Maybe try Ctrl F5 or a different browser. Sometimes browsers can be quite stubborn. ;)

Nope. Tried in Chrome and FF, no luck. I can see the images by loading the URLs though, which is generally a sign that external links are not enabled in the gallery. Remember that once you have seen them by accessing the URL directly, they will be in the browser cache, and so you will see them in this thread.

If you refresh, those images shouldn't show up anymore if the links aren't working.

Hold the shift key then press reload.

:nah Cleared the cache and restarted browser (FF), nada. They also failed to load in Chrome, which I rarely use for Dgrin.

Works in all three browsers for me. Chrome, Safari, and FF.

Really strange. Almost like the cache isn't flushed.

Figured it out. The URL is http://www.mcrobertsphotography.com/Advertisement/Concert/i-KjPhHHP/0/M/Brother-32-1975067669-O-M.jpg
Note: vB has shortened the URL for display but it contains the word advertisement.
I run AdBlock extensions in both Chrome and FF and they blocked the pics because of the word in the URL.

OK, now back to our normally scheduled program. mwink.gif

    Critiques on the photos?

Maybe exclude this site from adblock would be a handy thing?

...and on topic, I thought the photos were really good. At first I thought the first could be a tighter crop, but I love the Marshall at the right as well as the beam of light from the rear / left. Same with the 2nd, but I love the blue around them in that yellow cast of light.

Hope you have some tighter shots of them! :)

Nice shots. I know they're fun to take but hard not to get distracted at a good show.

Oh yes they are, I enjoy there shows a lot, but also have a good time shooting because I love the tricky lighting situations and seeing how well I can get my camera to work in them.

    Nice shots!

I didn't realize concert photography fit into this forum. I've always wished there was a separate forum for the genre (my favourite). I'm always at a loss about where to post them. Concert photography offers so many challenges, especially lighting/exposure and the thrill of the chase. It got me interested in photography. I love it.
