I had some free time on my hands yesterday, so I messed with a few different lighting setups and took a few self portraits.

All 3 shots were taken with main light on camera right, shoot through umbrella, and 52 in silver reflector camera left. I was about 10 feet of of background.

generally very nice - just dont like the glowing effect on the face on the last one

Maybe next time you could try holding a 30 LB weight in your left hand to straighten yourself out.

1 is my favorite. If you could add a kicker light for your hair/shoulders (camera left), it would help separate you from the background, and bring out some detail in your hair -- which right now is very muddy.
