This is from a shoot I did last Saturday. This little gal was a handful. Refused to be held by the parents or sit down for more than a second. She wanted to explore. I followed her around the park and let her do what she wanted and tried to capture some moments. Here are just a few of my favorites.

#7 looks too contrast-y compared to the set, but I love this set!

She was in her own world. She had this keen ability to know exactly where I was, without looking, and position herself so she wasn't facing the camera. Made it hard.

And yes, last one has a bit more contrast than the others. I shot into the sun and it was quite washed out. I recovered some contrast with curves and exposure adjustment but it got a little muddy. Hopefully its not too bad.

Nope... all shot with 70-200mm VRI. Most, if not all at f/2.8.

I have no clue how you guys shoot any shallower than 2.8 and get the right bits in focus.

I love looking at your work. You always seem to have the color nailed and the contrast just a tad. Congrats.

okay, that makes sense to. the bokeh is so lovely that it was either wide open prime or a long lens.

Great job AC, really captures the real "her". She's about the same age as my two granddaughters near me, and they move fast and keep you hopping lol.

#4.. the parents will cherish forever...chubby little legs in chubby little boots in action....I have learned you cannot make a child do what YOU want them to... smile, don't smile, turn left, turn right..., so you often must just go with the flow and you get something even better. I would not be surprised if people ask you or the parents.. how did you get her to do that?! ( walk across bridge etc...)
I got some great images of a little girl that did not feel like smiling that day, a 5 yr old, imagine that. People constantly ask the mother how she got her daughter to pose like that..lol
    yep #4 awesome image, congrats
