The Badlands. Lots of photos
Took the 3rd annual trip to the Badlands with Grimace. This year we had a tag along, Kdog.
The sights were good, so was the company.
On to the shots.
1st stop on the east side of the badlands to see the white prairie dogs.
Moving into the park, we saw a few of these guys.
As we kept our eyes on the trees along the road, every now and then you'd see this hanging around.
Or maybe one of these tucked in.
These guys, if they weren't in rut, they were getting close.
We saw a lot of hawks hanging around on the fence posts.
We found a couple of coyotes that really didn't like having us around.
Look at him smile for the camera.
One of the tougher critters to find is a bobcat. We were lucky.
All in all it was a fun trip.
I have more, but for now, I just let the sun go down on this post.
Thanks for looking.

These are really lovely. I've been watching them on FB too. I do have a criticism though...
You forgot to invite me!

Nothing in stone, but we'll see.

Yeah, we did ok with the critters.
I didn't even talk about the skunk, buffaloes, pronghorns, white tails, or the eagle twins, bald and golden.

The dudes in #1 and #4 sure posed nicely for their close-ups - fun!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
