I am thinking about selling my Nikon 85mm 1.8d and wanted to see if anyone would be interested in it. This is my favorite lens in my bag, and I use it probably 75% of the time. Super accurate, super sharp lens that produces some amazing images. You can look at my portfolio on my website, and there's a very good chance that your favorite photo was taken using this lens.
If you're looking for your first prime lens, or something to get those perfectly defocused backgrounds, this is the lens.
There are no scratches on either side of the element - the glass is 100% perfect. It also comes with a UV filter which has protected the lens since I've owned it. There is a scuff on the barrel of the lens, which I've pictured. The lens is in otherwise perfect physical and optical shape, as you can see from the other pics, including the sample photo taken using the lens today.
I'm asking $385

Yep, I'm still selling it! As for this lens vs the 50 mm 1.4, it really depends on what your goals are. This is definitely a better portrait lens in my opinion. You can't go wrong with either, but if you're looking to shoot people, this lens is a must-have for the price.
