Probably a scam

I recently was browsing e-bay, and bid a ridiculasly low price on a Nikon D2X. I was not the high bidder, but the high bidder failed to complete the auction and the seller has offered a "second chance" to purchase it at my bid price.

I have looked into the sellers feedback, location, history etc, and it seems a little shady.

I offered to complete the transaction via an escrow service of my chooseing. If he agrees to the service, I will do the deal as I am protected.

If he does not, I will pass.

I figure he will not as i think it's a scammer.

I will keep you posted and report on the whole thing when it's done.

    What is a "ridiculously low price"?

    I see used D2X's go as low as $3800
