"plein aire" vine maple

it's getting to be the time of year when getting out with the camera becomes problematic in western Washington... we've had rain for most of the last 2 weeks straight, and there's no end in sight for the next 7-10 days. which means, i have the time - or nothing better to do, depending on your perspective - to go back through my archives and process, or re-process, older images. this one is relatively new... took it just a couple of months ago, in early October, before the sun went away for the winter. the original, while pretty, didn't really do that much for me, but i got to fiddling with it in Photoshop, applying some filters, and came up with this version, sort of a "plein aire" painting look to it... i kinda like the result. i don't usually get into "digital art" that much, but once in a while, it's a fun diversion...
