Two photos side by side

Morning,
I have a situation where I want to show two photos at the same time. These are old and new photos from a place, time difference is about 60 years. I found this old set of photos and managed to go there and take new corresponding ones. They are therefor best shown side by side. And somewhere there must be a short text, preferable beneath or in between.
Can this be done with SmugMug?
Best regards, Harald

See http://allen-steve.smugmug.com/gallery/2224895_3bpro for an example of placing photos with html.
Another example (but outside of smugmug) can be seen at http://denisegoldbergplays.blogspot.com/2010/01/stacking-vertical-and-horizontal.html, others from that blog home page at http://denisegoldbergplays.blogspot.com/.

As the others said, there is no native SmugMug style that will show two images side by side. As suggested, you can combine the two in a photo editor, then upload the combined photo as one image, or use html to show both pics in an HTML only gallery.

I may have a solution to this, a rather good one (;=))
Since I am no user of HTML I was very much tempted to go for a solution using a photo editor to combine two photos (thank you Mishenka). But I decided to anyway look a bit closer at the HTML suggestion (thank you Denise)
Now a rather unusal thing happened, I got an idea. When looking at Denise example I saw it said "Set the gallery to "journal (old)" style". And I remembered I had used that style years ago .. and maybe it could work ... and yes it did.
I placed my photos in a new galery, unsorted, and moved them around till they were in pairs with old and new and old and new and so on. Then I changed over to Journal (old) and it looks good enough. And it means no extra work with photo editing and no HTML. I am happy enough and will now start setting up some new galleries, using Journal Old.
I did create a small gallery for testing, with real photos but wrong text. Try link below if you want to see how it looks like. The first (of the two photos) is a black/white photo and the second is my own in colours. And at least on my screen I can easily view two photos at the same time. And be aware, these two sets of photos are more than 60 years apart.
The whole story is a bit intreresting. I was documenting this old apartment which had been used by my relatives for over 100 years. After I had taken my photos (in 2006) the apartment was all modernised. Soon after I found out that the owner in 1942 had ordered a photographer to document the apartment. Then I got hold of a copy of these old photos. And the story actually does not end there. I have exactly the same situation with a very old summer house.
This is my test gallery: .... http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/27056111_CQBz2c
Thanks for all help, Harald

The more I think about this the more keen I am on having a true style that shows two photos side-by-side. This is why I now have added a Feature Reuqest as shown below. Time will tell if this is of interest to others
It could be a nice way to show an original photo and how it will look like after it has been "worked on".

Number of photos and galleries involved will increase over the years. Today I will manage using the work-around I described above. I am no HTML person and will not willingly walk down a path where I will have to tayler specific galleries.
But thanks for your suggestion. And who knows, maybe the changed user interface SmugMug is talking about will give some new possibilities.
