Not the best photo we sent them, but it's still nice. They neglected to actually run the story in their print version. (Who reads the online version anyways?)

I got front page colour (1/3), and page 16, despite having a stunt being pulled on my photo, it's still publicity. (see note below).

I was told by a certain faculty member:
"Good exposure, or bad exposure, it's still exposure, and you take what you can get.
At least your photos were printed, and one even front page."

    http://stw.ryerson.ca/~sonian/ (Front page)
    http://stw.ryerson.ca/~sonian/nov23/arts/dance.html (Page 16)

    Enjoy.

Bad post-processing by the paper. Not my fault. But i'll save my bandwidth for now...

    This one they left alone...

    And another... again, untouched.

Compositions all very nice. Those mylar suits look hard to capture. Are full res originals available to play with?
    If not now, when?

    Why yes, indeed.

    Go to http://framebyframe.ca/gallery/

follow the links through to the photos, find one you want to play with, and send me the gallery name, subgallery name, and image name, and i'll e-mail it to you.

I'll be posting my faves soon if this schoolwork ever STOPS. *sigh* How I loathe 3rd year first semester. Next semester will be a breeze compared to this hell.

I only posted the 3 that were sent to the newspapers (and thus, using the newspaper's bandwidth hehehe... mwink.gif) after the "Skyling Pre-rehearsal (00)"

Basically, the story was going to print that night, and we had to fudge together some lighting looks, shoot the rehearsal, and get the photos approved by:

Choreographer, Rehearsal Director, and head of the dance school (and artistic director), then out to the paper.

It was intense. I'll be posting a lot of my best shots next week once school dies down. I'm pulling 15 hour days right now studying for exams.
