How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

It was actually better than I expected, Joel, and since I knew how cold it would be, I was well prepared. What surprised me was how close we could get to the birds in a couple of the ponds. My 300 mm without the 1.4x on a full frame body was plenty.

That is amazing! The close part. We never get anything like that here. Best, Pam

Great shot. - A funny story. I'm sitting in my blind on a little 1 acre pond with about 50 Egrets and Herrons on it. Freaky - the drought had them all bunched up. Anyway, 3 Sandhills fly in and walk up to the edge for a drink. This Herron keeps squaking and squaking at them. All of a sudden one of the Sandhills turns around, walks over and kicks the crap out the Herron. Too funny. Sorry, I just had to throw the story in.

There is no way I am defacing your post with my lousy images. If I get a chance to start a new thread I will send you a message.
