Hey everyone,
Andy is a force of nature with 60,000 posts on dgrin, and when he moved on from SmugMug after 8 years in search of fame, fortune and adventure, many of you felt the loss like we did.
So we went on the hunt for someone who could really know the the inside details about engineering & QA here at SmugMug, which means working at HQ and in meetings about performance, bugs, support, etc. We were looking for someone who knows what it takes to be a successful working photographer, and who's technical. And nice.
This photo of Michael Bonocore and his faithful hound Rocky makes him look more badass than nice, but that's because I couldn't resist snapping him in what we fondly call The Bonocore Pose:
He joined us today and right now is immersed in QA training, which is coming naturally because he spent many years in QA. You may have noticed that he's already been answering dgrin questions. And he's been a SmugMug customer for 5 years.
It's gonna take time before he knows how to track down the hardest problems, but everyone at SmugMug knows to jump when he says to, and he's already been patrolling the halls arguing the case for much of the feedback he's reading here.
I hope this helps!
All the best,
Baldy

Andy, I may look more bad ass, but no one can beat that handsome profile pic you got going there. As Baldy said, I am hoping to get some things done around here by just scaring the beejeeez out of people:fish

P.S. I have been a huge PIA to Baldy, Andy, and SM folks in general over the past six months, but I'm working very hard on going back to my previous nice guy status. Between you and Baldy over the past day or two, it has helped my transition immensely!
So see? You already made a difference! clap

Ha! Glad I made SOME kind of difference Glenn.
Feel free to be a PIA with me anytime. I can take a punch or two :cry
But in all seriousness, my job is to help bridge communications between customers and SmugMug QA, Product, and Engineering departments. I will even gladly ping Baldy and Don to get into conversations.
I knew exactly what I walked into when I agreed to take the job (I have been a SmugMug customer for 5 years, and dgrin member for a while).
As I do continue to get acclimated into the position, I just ask for brief bouts of patience
I look forward to working with you for the months (and years) to come Glenn.
