You're welcome, Thomas. THe anhinga is a really strange and interesting bird. They are pretty common around here (venice/sarasota Florida). I even have them in my backyard. They make a very unusual "call". Very distinctive. They are not very colorful..but I really like the high contrast B&W look. They are a "swimming" bird and the pic I posted is of one drying it's feathers. I guess they are not "water protected" like most birds. Seems this is so they don't float and can dive for fish. They must dry them off before they can fly very well. I about died laughing when this guy climb up on the decoy to dry off.
