Impatiens flower center

Shots of the center of a new guinea impatiens flower. I was rather suprised to see a lace like pattern on the structure when taking the photos and it looks from the photos as if they are individual plant cells. If so they are pretty big around 0.16mm in diameter. Shots have been focus stacked using zerene.

Using a 5Dmk2 with MPE-65 lens and 430 EX flash

Very nice! We have these growing in our yard (or did, before the winter), but I never magnified any shots enough to see this.

Yes I've grown them many times as well as normal bizzy lizzies but have never looked at the center in detail before.
