From time-to-time I peruse the back-pages of OCS... usually, I'm avoiding all the
things I'm supposed to be doing - don't tell my wife!!
I don't remember this one Cristóbal, so it was cool to find it back there... fun!
It looks to me like it could be a cousin of the HAL 9000 computer from the movie - 2001: A Space Odyssey.
btw... *untitled* works for me - I found my own interpretation.
Looks like you went to Roswell and shot an Alien eye-stalk!
Good one, Cristóbal!

Good job, Eric, to dig this one up! The poor thing sat without a comment for two years. One wonders, why?
Neat shot, though. But what can be said about it? Clone the stick out and submit it to Mikasa as a dinner plate design? Not a bad idea, actually. No sarcasm!
Very interesting image Cristóbal. Firstly, it is quite beautiful. Secondly, it is polarizing my imagination ... is it a relic from Tutankhamun ... or is it a probe from a futuristic alien race? It may simply be a lamp ... but it is too alluring to be a simple lamp. Thanks for sharing. BTW- A title may have made the image better. :<)
Alex, by not giving it a title I allowed you to see a dinner plate, Eric and Don an alien, Gary a relic from Tutankhamun, Stumblebum a fan, Richard and myself some kind of flower... In other words I gave you freedom... a wonderful thing.

This is true. But the original intent, if indeed it was one, "Urban Flower" trumps everything. Not only because it appears to be apt, but because it shows YOUR vision. And isn't it the entire point?

Could be, except I came up with the title two years later.

And this, as a photographer would say, is outside the frame. Even if it came together a minute ago -- it stays, and you got yourself a whole new piece of art. Well done!

I like the plate idea, but I guess I saw it as an urban flower of sorts, hence the "stem".
Thanks for the comments guys!:):
