SmugMug iPad App Update Now Available In The App Store

The SmugMug iPad app update has hit the App Store. The main bug fixed in this update takes care of the crashing that some users experienced. Please install and let me know how it works for you by replying to this thread. Thank you for your continued patience while we worked on delivering this update.

Just a heads-up that after I installed the update on my antique original iPad it still crashed. Completely deleting the app and reinstalling cured it.

Steve, I meant to update the forum with that information, but got sidetracked. I did state that on the Facebook and Google+ update.

I love the app! Very nice and simple to use.

Two things:

1) the optional display of captions would be nice
2) you guys should really include the fact that one should uninstall the old app then reinstall the new one if upgrading on the official iTunes page for your app. You are getting a lot of negative reviews because of this

It is working! After upgrade it still did not show all my Galleries, however deleting the old app and installing the new worked. It appears the galleries it did not show were galleries with subgalleries in them. Thanks guys!

Still suffering from the same clumsy problem. If you add one picture to a gallery with hundreds of pictures it has to download all of them to sync instead of just the one.

I keep all my pictures on my ipad with this app so I can show them to people when out of wifi range.
If I add a picture to my smugmug gallery I need to update the ipad. It shows me there are new pictures in a gallery so I click save.
In order to update the gallery the app downloads all the pictures in the gallery all over again instead of just the new ones.
This takes a long time when there are hundreds of pictures in the gallery.

Thank you Dennis! I am aware of that issue. We are currently revamping all of our mobile apps, including the iPad app. This fix was solely to prevent the crash on opening as some users experienced. I will keep you posted on the update.
