Not seeing any part of the person is what makes the impact for me. I know there is probably someone under the blankets, but I am hoping there isn't anyone there.

This made me laugh. Not at what is pictured, but at the thought of the
photographer thinking "This is a photograph". It's not often that the
photographer sees what isn't there as the photograph. Good catch.

There are all kinds of ways of seeing this capture. There go the chances of me getting any work done this morning. I'll be studying this and it will be all your fault bd!!

    ... I'm still peeling potatoes.

Laughing.gif, Patti - and Tony. Of course there is someone under the sleeping bag, and what I thought the instant I saw it was, 'this is one of those rare legitimate 'bum' pictures - it has irony, it has pathos, it says something beyond 'hey, here's a homeless guy,' and I can shoot it without even showing the person, and thus not hold the person up to ridicule.' No, I did not 'think' it out in that detail, but it's the explanation for why I saw making the image as being an exception to my "no bums" rule. ;-)
