#119 What Do You Think? C&C Plz

I wasn't actively looking for an entry this time--our 'celebrations' are so quiet and 'lame' compared to what anyone else does. We don't really party, it's just the three of us, etc. Yesterday was my daughter's bff's 18th birthday and we were invited out to eat with them. This shot is of the mini cake but shows the mother in the background. I like it. I'd like to know what you think about it to know whether I should enter it or not. Obviously, a reshoot is not possible.



While I am usually not a big b&w person, it seems to work for this picture.

I really like it. My eye took a fun and funny trip around the frame. The illusion of the way the cake appears to be the table centerpiece and then you see the hand. It is a "celebratory" and fun photo.

I absolsutely agree with Steve. The B&W treatment made me linger long enough to see the humor in the store-bought cake. I also thought it was the centerpiece!
