Replace or Repair

I dropped my D90 and now I'm pretty sure the autofocus motor is broken (at a minimum) on the 18-105mm nikkor kit lens.
Anyone know the location or contact info for an authorized nikon repair shop in the San Francisco/San Mateo CA area?
Should I just ditch the lense and buy a refurbished replacement from the nikonusa website.
Better yet should I upgrade to a refurbished 18-200mm nikkor from the nikonusa website.

Check your owners manual for the location of the nearest Nikon authorized repair center.

You can learn more about the repair process here.

There are also a few shops that still do repair. The nearest I know of is Keeble & Schucat in Palo Alto. They will probably send your camera out to Nikon and charge you for that-better off to call Nikon.

    Good luck!
